quality training to drive the brand forward. As a flourishing business, it really does help knowing that they are on hand anytime for guidance and assistance.”
How are you continuing to build the business and do you have any plans for the future?
“We are focusing on the continued development of the beauty element of the business, complementing the already existing and established hair salon. In particular continuing our staff expansion and building a reputation as a renowned and respectable hair and beauty establishment in our area. In terms of our services we want to introduce more exclusive treatments and cosmetic services to our menu, including nail extensions and spray tanning.”
What do you feel are your key achievements for you as a salon owner?
“Definitely the growth we have witnessed within the business, through new employees and clients.”
What is the best piece of advice you have been given for running a successful salon?
“My best piece of advice is to value team
work.At the salon we work together and all rely on each other. It’s very hard work but ultimately when you see clients leaving the salon happy and fully satisfied with your service, it is truly rewarding.”

treatment review:
Upon my arrival at the salon I was greeted by Gemma who gave me a tour of the beauty treatment
rooms. All the rooms are immaculately presented and it’s obvious that every care and attention has been made in terms of décor, with on-trend colours and stylish finishing touches ensuring a wonderful oasis of calm for both client and therapist.
I was lucky enough to experience the salon’s signature treatment, the Payot Hydra Expérience, a 60-minute facial which aims to replenish dehydrated skin and bring back that radiant glow. Before we began, Gemma explained the treatment in detail so I knew exactly what to expect, not only would it be highly beneficial to my skin but also a relaxing experience to soothe away daily stresses; it sounded blissful and I couldn’t wait to try it. Using her expertise Gemma identified my problem areas, dryness on my T-Zone and dark circles below my eyes, which would greatly profit from the nourishing nature that the treatment would provide.
After removing make-up, the face, neck and décolleté were cleansed and toned followed by a deep cleanse with Rhyolite extract to gently remove all impurities. Gemma then implemented a modelling, draining and stimulating massage with alternating freshness pauses. Keeping in mind my areas of concern, special attention was paid to my nose and eye area. The use of warm compresses felt lovely against my skin and
the aroma of the products used smelt heavenly; it was certainly a treat for all the senses. Then theMasqueMousse Hydratant was applied, which unlike some facial masques was light and didn’t feel remotely constricting. Composed of Coconut and Sunflower oils, Cornflower extract and HyaluronicAcid it was left for 15 minutes, during which time I was treated to a head massage for sheer relaxation. The finishing touch was the application of Hydra24 Light, to end with toned and hydrated skin.
After the treatment I was left alone to relax and float back down to real life. Upon her return, Gemma presented me with my very own personalised Payot prescription, recommending the products that would address my individual concerns and that would complement the effects of the experience. We also had an in-depth chat about skin care which was interesting and informative, and certainly made me think about readdressing areas of my own regime. This personalised touch made me feel very welcomed, with my every need catered for.
This was my first Payot treatment and I certainly left the salon with a renewed spring in my
step.My skin felt refreshed and revitalised, with a glowing radiance and the appearance of those pesky dark circles diminished.
