Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio is an Italian company famous worldwide for its excellent products, wine and extra virgin olive oil. Sharing a special connection with Umbria's natural treasures, the Fasola Bologna family, the Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio owners, have started a groundbreaking environmentally- responsible project designed to achieve the goal of zero greenhouse emissions. Th anks to all these efforts and the decades- long environmental commitment of the Fasola Bologna family, Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio has become the fi rst agro-business in the world to reach carbon neutrality, certifi ed by the famous Det Norske Veritas (DNV) with IS0 14064 (CERTIFICATE N. 00001 – 2009). A pure and clean environment is the starting point for excellent olives and grapes. Th e olives are harvested manually when they are perfectly ripe.
Both the production cycle and bottling, at a constant low temperature, take place within 24 hours. Th is care makes our extra virgin olive oil a high-quality product with an extremely low acidity and excellent concentration of those precious elements that make the extra virgin olive oil so unique. Th e high wine quality is another important goal

Th is 2013 award is another success that gives us the encouragement to wake up every morning and to try and do our best to improve, every season, our extra virgin olive oil and wines.
