Mr. Advani, Senior partner of Advani & Co is recognized as a leading authority on arbitration and joint ventures in India.

Mr. Advani is the Vice President of the LCIA-India, Western Region.

Having obtained his undergraduate degree in Law from Cambridge University (UK) and after qualifying as a Barrister- at-law, he began his practice as counsel in the Bombay High Court. In 1986, he started the law firm Advani &Co which has come to be known as one of the

leading firms in commercial law in India. Mr Advani has been recognized as a leading expert in Arbitration in India and is one of only two Indian lawyers listed in “An International Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitrators”. He acts as a lead counsel in a large number of international arbitrations under different rules including LCIA, Zurich Chamber of Commerce, Swedish Arbitration Association, the ICC, and Singapore Association of Arbitration. His participation as a keynote speaker in several seminars and his contribution to several publications such as “Economist” and “Euromoney” is noteworthy. Apart from acting as counsel in arbitrations, Mr. Advani regularly appears for enforcement and defending arbitration awards in both the High Court & Supreme Court of India. Incidentally, Mr. Advani has been a part of a select team of counsel of arbitrators, speaking in various Law Ministry conferences, supporting a new Arbitration Act, which would both expedite the arbitration process and make challenges to an award much more difficult.
