Abrahams, Davidson & Co. or “ADC” as is more commonly known was established in 1986 and is a full service legal practice in Brunei Darussalam. It is one of the largest firms in the country, with 3 partners and 5 legal associates complemented by approximately 35 experienced support staff. Its office is located in the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan.
The Firm has a broad range of clientele comprising a mix of local and international clients
including government agencies, statutory bodies, Notable Legal Work
The Firm continues to be heavily involved in a number of significant advisory and transactional work including advising and developing documentation for innovative Islamic financing products in Brunei, international joint ventures between a local telecommunications company with a leading foreign IT software and service provider as well as between a local entity and leading European construction company, advising a consortium of lenders on foreign syndicated loan and bond
facilities and a high value multimillion dollar Islamic re-financing of commercial property. Other significant work involved the Firm advising on cross border distribution of insurance products and advising and working on a broad range of IT and telecommunications agreements and documentation including peering arrangements, network systems, broadband services, licensing and maintenance services with Government agencies and service providers.
The Firm has achieved recognition and praise in international publications in successive years and were consistently ranked in the “top-tier” by IFLR 1000 and “Band 1” in Chambers Asia-Pacific for years 2007 to 2012
international banks, multinationals and foreign solicitors. The Firm is also on the panel of all local and foreign local institutions operating in Brunei and handle a significant portion of retail and corporate financing documentation.
