Dimitris Paraskevas
Dimitris Paraskevas is the Managing Partner of the firm and chairman and board member of many companies and charitable foundations.

For his service as the Secretary for Privatisation (Ministry of Development, 1993-1999) he was named Super Salesman by the Financial Times (1999). Among other accolades from major international guides (Chambers, IFLR1000), the International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers consistently ranks him one of the two top M&A attorneys in Greece and one of the international M&A leaders worldwide (2005-2012).
Notable Legal Work
Recent notable M&A / banking deals include advising on the acquisition of Alico by MetLife for over $16 billion, advising the European Investment Fund in connection with the deployment of funds amounting to €250 million, and representing two leading financial institutions (US- and Switzerland based) as lead arrangers of a $1.3 billion loan.
Our litigation team has recently represented the Greek importer of leading European car manufacturers in relation to extensive litigation in excess of €500 million, a leading trader in international commodities in complex debt/commodity recovery litigation, a global home-video distributor in proceedings initiated against it by its local
licensee, as well as an established Japanese manufacturer on its claim for damages against a local company.
Recent insolvency/restructuring work boasts our involvement in the largest and most complex ever insolvency case globally, where we advised the European subsidiary of a major US financial institution against several million dollar claims filed by a counterparty bank, as well as our work for a leading US investment firm, noteholder of a major telecommunications company, in the context of one of Europe’s biggest debt restructurings (€3.2 billion) since the credit crunch began.
