MarQonsult® was established in February 2002 as an Intellectual Property (IP) consultancy firm and subsequently incorporated in 2005 under our current name, MarQonsult IP. Our firm is located in Petaling Jaya, a city adjoining Kuala Lumpur, and is about a 15 minute train (LRT) ride from the Malaysia IP Office, MyIPO.

Clara C.F. YIP

Clara C.F. YIP Holds a Law and Economics degree from Auckland University (New Zealand) and is a Registered Patent, Trade Mark and Industrial Design Agent in Malaysia. She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 1993 and was called to the Malayan Bar in 1994. Languages: English and Malay (proficient) Cantonese, Mandarin and French (conversant). Experience: 19 years in a wide range of IP work including patent, design, trademark filing and prosecution; copyright; opposition; ownership disputes; trade dress; passing-off; IP protection strategies, IP due diligence, IP transactions; cancellation and invalidation proceedings, enforcement. Voted Asialaw’s Leading Lawyer in Intellectual Property in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. Contributor to INTA’s online publication on Trademark Cancellations (Malaysia) and author of “Protecting Trademarks from Dilution in Malaysia”, IP Focus Asia, Informa Law.
