Help us reach our charity target
Thismonth, our annual Chill Out Zone (COZ) takes place as part of Holistic Health at the NEC Birmingham, and this year we are hoping to reach our target of £20,000 that the event will have raised for worthy causes over the past eight years.
Since 2005, the Chill Out Zone team, headed this year by Guild News’Acting Deputy Editor Donna Taylor, have raised £18,260 through the support of a fantastic army of volunteer therapists and the generosity of Holistic Health exhibitors and visitors.
Previous beneficiaries of the Chill Out Zone funds have included Tree Tops Hospice, The Padley Group, Rainbow’s Childrens’Hospice and the Healing Hands Network.
This year the event is supportingYes to Life as its charity, the only organisation of its kind, which helps people with cancer access the benefits of complementary medicine. The registered charity (No: 1112812) empowers people with cancer by supporting themin obtaining an integrative approach to treatment; the best of complementary and alternativemedicine (CAM) with orthodox approaches to extend care, widen choice and improve results.
Every penny raised through the COZ this year will be donated toYes to Life, who rely on voluntary funding and support. The charity offers its services for free, including a Help Centre, searchable online directory of CAMtreatments and well-being workshops.
So far, therapists have signed up to volunteer their skills in Reiki,Massage, Spiritual Healing, RhythmMobility, Facial Reflexology and Quantumwave Laser.
You can help us raise our target by booking in for a taster treatment in the Chill Out Zone during your visit to Holistic Heath on Sunday 13th andMonday 14th May.
Complementary therapists interested in volunteering in the COZ should contact Donna Taylor at
