According to Jianxun Zhu, “We can see that the pattern of the interna- tional foundry industry and casting market is still changing. If we want to gain a secure foothold in the changing international market, we must get a clear understanding of the new situation and keep up with the trend, adjust our developing strategies, and have a sense of self position. Only in this way can we do our good job in the international foundry market.”

dustry in these countries has a great potential for growth, and Shengquan predicts the growth rate will be more than 10% in the coming years.

How do you see the pattern of the global foundry industry changing?

JZ: Influenced by energy distribution, raw materials, labor cost, casting market demand, and industrial and technological development, a new three-part division of the international metalcasting industry is forming.

1. Mid- and High-End Position Occupied by developed countries like the U.S., Japan

and Europe, this segment has the advantages of the technology, equipment and funding necessary to hold a leading position in the industry. These countries have transferred the manufacturing of products with low add- ed value or manual production to developing countries, devoting more effort to the production and development of high-grade, precision, advanced castings.
