European Supplier Trends Indicate Growth in Exports 欧洲铸造设备供应商出口量增长
Te European Foundry Equipment Suppliers Association
(CEMAFON) has announced its members, 160 European manufacturers of metalcasting machinery, reached $1.3 billion (1 billion euro) in production volume in 2010, accounting for 90% of European supply and 30% of total world exports. According to CEMAFON, the diverse casting machin-
ery industry consists of specialist manufacturers for different industry segments and steps of the production chain. Ma- chinery companies are evolving from component suppliers to full-service system partners as customers with global opera- tions require additional assistance, ranging from professional advice to technical support, the association said. CEMAFON members in Italy, the U.K. and Germany
are among the world’s biggest exporters, and 2010 trade growth rates show an economic turnaround in those regions was achieved more quickly than expected, followed by a consolidation phase of the casting machinery world market. Te 2010 trends report also indicated an increase in
shipments to Asian metalcasting facilities. In 2008, half of CEMAFON member exports went to European destina- tions and 15% were shipped to Asian customers, according to the association. In 2010, the share of casting machinery sales to Asia increased to nearly 20%. Nearly a third of the high pressure die casting equipment they produced was exported to Asia. ■
