After having interviewed several leaders in the business, industry, government and civic municipalities, I am encouraged that we are on the right road. What we need is more collaboration to obtain a definition on coaching for the NQF unit standards. Business and Coaching organisations need to get together to formulate and co-create a future that will impact positively and purposefully on the productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, profit mindedness and strategic clarity of organisations. High-level leaders, executives and managers need to budget for their teams and themselves to be coached toward higher expectations of delivery. Coaching is the process that can orchestrate business reality, key performance standards, competencies, business plans and strategy into one integrated process while not destroying the style and technique of those leading. In fact it could enhance all of these criteria and produce, in far less time, better results than any other tools in the business basket.
