A.R. ALIMENTARE

THE COMPANY A.R. Alimentare is a modern and dynamic Italian company, founded in 2002, which designs and produces innovative food solutions for clients around the world. Its Travel Division is specialised in the development and production of deep-frozen italian single portion food solutions: pizza, snacks, sandwiches, IQF pasta and mozzarella. For A.R. Alimentare, the World Travel Catering & Onboard Service Expo (previously ITCA), represents the ideal spring board from which to launch and present new products and services. The company’s product and service development strategy is poised to tackle the issue of global airlines, increasingly pushed to carry larger numbers of passengers longer distances than ever. With this view in mind, A.R. Alimentare continues to develop new products and services aimed at improving passengers’ onboard experience, whilst also supporting the airlines and catering companies. Read on to find out how A.R. Alimentare is constantly improving its products and services.

NEW PRODUCTS OUT NOW Just one of a number of interesting solutions designed to meet specific needs, is the new Sweet

Sweet Sorrento is a chocolate pizza dough

& Savoury box, launching at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Service Expo. A.R. Alimentare has created one box

combining a sweet and a savoury snack solution at a total product weight of 160 grams. The key objective in developing this new product was to avoid cross-contamination of flavour between the different snacks – achieved with a completely new box, different from other solutions currently on the market. This product solution has been designed with the dual objective of improving the passenger experience as well as improving the flow of onboard operations. Following the launch of its very successful Pizza Sorrento product line, A.R. Alimentare has launched a new variation to this product. The InCanto

with a ricotta filling. This new product helps to complement the range of pizza-based products with a sweet variation. A number of filling variations are available. New solutions for Business and First Class

include a number of high quality products rich in fillings such as the fagottino, fazzoletto, ciambella and piccoli. These products vary in weight in a range between 130g and 170g, depending on the requirement.

TECHNICAL INNOVATION Data gathered by A.R. Alimentare indicates that there is an increasing trend by global airlines to operate using a maximum oven temperature of 150°C onboard. This has pushed A.R. Alimentare to develop a product solution that allows to achieve optimum product performance also with these lower operating temperatures.
