It is final countdown to the very first World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo located with the Aircraft Interiors Expo and the OnBoard Hospitality team looks forward to meeting exhibitors and visitors to these exciting and important events in Hamburg from March 26 -29 2012. The three-day World Travel Catering and Onboard Services Expo has attracted over 180 exhibitors and will take place in Halls B1, B2, B3 and B4 covering 4,000sqm. OnBoard Hospitality will be sending its biggest


team ever to attend the event so look out for Martin Steady, md, Matt Bonner, creative director, Laura Gelder, journalist and Alex Rogers, our IFE man, as well as Jeremy Clark, Sue Williams and Jo Austin.


Taste of Travel OnBoard Hospitality’s very own Jeremy will be hosting two Taste Challenges in the Taste of Travel


Theatre in Hall B1 on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 when there will be an opportunity for visitors to watch the skills of leading airline and rail chefs doing what they do best. There will also be presentations from industry


experts on the latest products and developments in travel catering and live food demonstrations. Come along and enjoy the fun.


The Cabin Innovation & Strategies for the Future Conference Monday March 26 promises to be a day not to be missed, with an excellent speaker line-up for the conference . Sessions will look at: • Changing tastes and lifestyles – critical trends shaping consumer expectations in the future


• Change and innovation in the cabin • Differentiating your brand whilst embracing standardisation within the cabin


• Meeting changing expectations of friendliness and service


• Offering passengers choice and making money • Creating an engaging passenger experience


IFE at Lufthansa and Dr Mark Hiller, coo of Recaro Aircraft Seating. Bob Lange, vp marketing Airbus will also be participating. In the afternoon the conference splits into


two streams. The inflight entertainment and connectivity stream will be chaired by Michael Childers, chief consultant content & media strategy at Lufthansa Systems. The second stream focuses on catering and


• How airlines can evolve their IFE&C strategies in a way that is good for business and makes sense to passengers.


The day begins with design and innovation company Seymourpowell looking at some of the critical trends shaping passenger expectations in the future. A panel discussion will debate how astute


airlines can take advantage of standardisation while still differentiating their brands. The panel includes Peter Lewalter, head of cabin interior &


onboard hospitality. Arnaud Masson, head of onboard services at Eurostar International and Richard Cushing, senior vp & gm Europe, serving the EMEA, GuestLogix, will be debating future service options that travel customers will want to buy into.
