New menu for TAM SkyWork gets new uniform
TAM Airlines has launched a new menu for its international flights in 2012. The exclusive ‘Sabor que faz Bem’ (Flavours that do you good) menu has been developed in consultation with the Brazilian chef Bel Coelho. Bel’s menu offers passengers meals that are
a well-balanced combination of functional, whole and organic ingredients, prepared to give nutrient-rich dishes with a feeling of lightness, well-being and satisfaction. In First class the dishes include lamb chops
with almond and raisin couscous, and steamed fresh asparagus; fillet of John Dory with quinoa and zucchini in olive oil; tortelloni filled with Minas cheese, leeks and chicory leaves, with tomato concassé, rosemary oil and pine nuts. For dessert, a highlight is the trio of lemon tartlet, chocolate pie and mini savarin with fruits in blackberry sauce. “Every year we conduct a major survey to find
out the gastronomic trends and how to put them onboard our aircraft. In 2012, our passengers will have meals that are not only tasty, but which also offer healthy benefits and options,” explains Manoela Amaro, marketing director for TAM.

SkyWork Airlines has launched a new uniform for its pilots and flight attendants. The expanding Swiss regional airline’s new look is ‘modern and contemporary with a touch of glamour’. Created by Austrian textile group, Oberhofer GmbH, the new uniform comprises a fitted cool grey suit with apple green tie and trim, tie-pin for male crew and black leather handbags for the ladies. Nearly 10,000 buttons and over 1,700 metres of quality fabric were used to make the new uniforms for the airline’s 83-strong professional flight crew. Said SkyWork ceo Tomislav Lang: “The look
is fresh, modern and in keeping with our progressive values. Our flight crew now have a stylish uniform that befits the excellent service they provide. They are the ambassadors of our airline and our greatest asset, so it is important that they both look and feel good. Staff worked closely with Oberhofer GmbH from the beginning and we are delighted with the result.” SkyWork was awarded a Gold at the Airline Amenity Awards (see page 58).

Air France personal service at CDG
Air France passengers arriving at Paris- Charles de Gaulle can now enjoy a range of new personalised services. Benefits include accompaniment by an Air France agent through the airport via priority access routes for departures, arrivals and flight connections. Customers will be escorted between arrival or departure at the terminal building and flight boarding or disembarkation at the aircraft door. a la carte include transfers between the airport and Paris by chauffeured car, minibus or motorcycle; the reservation of a hotel room for a few hours to freshen-up or have breakfast before going into the city; and luggage collection or delivery to an address in the Paris area, which will be added to the service shortly.
Assistance starts at 200 Euros, plus taxes, for accompaniment of up to four passengers per agent. Flying Blue members can also earn 400 bonus miles with every purchase.
