Integrating Offline and Online Gaming
Pierre Wuu, online director of the Californian Online Poker Association, will be presenting ‘Play for fun strategies: ‘How to prepare and maximise for real money value’ at the Integrating Offline and Online Gaming conference, as part of the ICE Conference programme on 25 January. He will be joining representatives from Bodog, the Belgian Gaming Association, Circus Group, SISAL and Century Casinos who will highlight how offline and online business methods can be combined for optimal results.

ot com versus dot country will be a central discussion point at 24 January’s World Regulatory Briefing debate entitled ‘Exploring optimal market entry strategies in the new regulatory envi- ronments’. Taking place on the opening day of ICE Totally Gaming,
bwin.party Italy’s southern region director Paolo di Feo, as well as Legal Counsels from Betfair, Lock Casino & Lock Poker and Sporting- bet, will be on hand to discuss the pros and cons of the two domain models from dif- ferent market participants, and analyse criteria in the selection of new markets in which to seek a license.
Additional topics include the impor- tance of local relationships and local com- petitors, which markets to go to next and how various regulatory approaches impact on the market participants. Unibet’s global CRM strategist Dimiter Pantaleev will be leading the Customer Insight section of 25 January’s CRM and Retention in Gaming conference with his topic, ‘Getting a 360 view of the customer’. The importance of customer relationship management is paramount in the current economic climate, and the seminar aims to focus on how businesses can take owner- ship of the customer relationship and market to them intelligently.
It is one of 12 seminars taking place at the conference, which will feature a total of 21 leading speakers drawn from compa- nies including Svenska Spel, Rank Interac- tive, Virgin Games and Sportingbet. Monetising Social in Gaming on 26 January will highlight the ramifications of Facebook’s policy on accepting gambling advertising and the possibility of interfac- ing with online gambling. A workshop panel consisting of gaming leaders Woodrow Levin, CEO, BringIt; Matthew Cullen, Gamingo; and Lou Castle, Chief Strategy Officer, Shufflemaster, will examine the key monetisation funnels for the social networking site; explore the existence of a specific social player profile on Facebook, and look at head-to-head wagering for Facebook games. The Monetising Social in Gaming Con- ference will also feature a host of other practical business sessions and debates, including how to ‘Implement a social media strategy’, a case study entitled ‘Social Proof - A trackable ecosystem for building a busi- ness case for social media gaming’ and will ask the fundamental question, ‘What is driving social media and games integra- tion?
The Mobile Gaming conference on 26 January will discuss the proliferation of
smartphone devices across the mobile market and how the global gaming sector is arguably undergoing its most radical shift since the introduction of the internet. With all signs pointing to smartphones as the next boom sector in gaming, attendees at the Mobile Gaming Conference, taking place alongside ICE Totally, will be in prime position to discover ‘What's next for mobile gaming?’, how to harness the biggest mobile trends as well as listen to the latest mobile in-play betting case studies. Companies including Betfair -which reported that 41 percent of customers used a Smartphone to place a bet during Q3 2011 - will be appearing alongside, Betfred, Sportingbet, Victor Chandler, Ladbrokes, BSkyB and Virgin Games to discuss the importance of mobile and tablet units in the future of their operations.
