Sceptre teams with Blueprint Gaming
S
ceptre, the AIM-listed leisure and gaming group, has entered into an agreement with Gauselmann Groupand its UK group company Blueprint Gaming to enable Sceptre to offer a fully integrated digital solution to its customers. Sceptre sold its FOBT rental business to Global Draw back in April 2010, but digital deals such as this might persuade the firm to give the sector another crack. Ken Turner, chief executive of Sceptre, said: “This is an im- portant strategic alliance for Sceptre with the market leader in the digital arena. The marketplace is beginning to evolve more quickly and our tie up with Gauselmann and Blueprint positions Sceptre at the fore- front of this technology-led area at an excit- ing time for the industry.”
Sportech growing football product range
A
s the popularity of pools betting now extends well beyond the UK into the European and world- wide markets, football pools op-
erator Sportech PLCbelieves now is the time for retail and online bookmakers to take advantage of its strong range of new and innovative football products. The Classic Pools offers a headline prize of £3m, which dwarfs other prizes currently available to retail customers and has been paid out several times in the last two years. But the firm also has footballing equivalents of the Tote Scoop 6, Jackpot and PlacePot products, catering for all customers; from those looking for a big win from a low stake, to those wishing to exercise their skill and football knowledge. Jackpot 12 is a daily rollover game with
the potential for massive jackpots from only a 50p unit stake, while pool sizes for Super 6 have exceeded £100,000 on a regular basis and Premier 10 consistently delivers win- ners scooping over £10,000 for a £1 bet. The Football Pools products have been integrated into a number of platforms and is available in LBOs (as it is in Ladbrokes, Chisholmsand Jenningsbet shops) or on- line (Ladbrokes again and Centrebet). As Sportech explained: “There are no set up costs and here’s the best bit…add The Foot- ball Pools to your product portfolio and offer incredible top prizes and pool sizes to your customers for absolutely no risk, plus guar- anteed margins for your business. The Foot- ball Pools can also offer marketing support to develop strong relationships with your ex- isting and prospective customers.”
