MRG SYSTEMS MRG displays top BID5

With much of the focus on providing betting shop customers with information, MRG Systems has developed a range of products that can do just that.

M

RG Systems techni- cal director Bryan Corbin commented that 2011 was a good

year for the company and that 2012 looks promising. He ex- plained: “The New Zealand TAB went live with BIDS5 at the end of the summer which was very satisfying. They expect to grow their estate by almost 40 per cent over the next few years to around 950 outlets, some of which will boast twelve 55” screens.

“For the UK markets we have designed new templates for the ICE2012 exhibition. We believe these new designs will trans- form and influence future shop displays across the industry. Smart automations translate business rules more efficiently than ever before, pushing more complex tasks down to routine tasks. As a result, studio staff are freer to concentrate on the in-shop experience.”

BIDS5 introduces completely flexible screen automation based on business rules. • Screens are divided into windows each

OPENBET OpenBet makes a match with Matchroom

OpenBet is using the ICE show to demonstrate its new partnership with some of the key figures in the sports of darts and snooker.

O

penBet, leading provider of software for the online gaming and betting industry, has said that it is proud to be showcas- ing its latest suite of games created under the recently an- nounced partnership with Matchroom Sport, World Snooker Lim- ited and Professional Darts Corporation. Launched in conjunc- tion with the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship and The Mas- ters Snooker, the games include darts and snooker-themed titles and feature sports personalities such as 15-time World Champi- on, Phil “The Power” Taylor and snooker legend, Ronnie O’Sulli- van. OpenBet has invited the industry to its stand at ICE Totally Gaming in London, to meet Barry Hearn, chairman of Matchroom Sport, and Phil Taylor. To mark the event, OpenBet will be hosting a competition on

Tuesday 24 January that will allow visitors to the stand to challenge Phil Taylor to a game of darts under the watchful eye of official PDC referee, George Noble. To qualify for the event, play your hand at darts on OpenBet’s stand 5165 before 3pm on Tuesday. Then, once qualified, challenge Phil himself between 3pm and 5pm on the stand and win various prizes and sporting memorabilia. The PDC darts games are the first in a long pipeline of new online casino content to come from the world exclusive agreement with Matchroom Sport. Games have already been taken by key opera- tors in the market, including Ladbrokes, Paddy Power, Betfair, William Hill and Victor Chandler. Phil “The Power” Taylor said: “OpenBet has done a fantastic job

at taking our sport and producing a game that not only looks great but has strong appeal to the millions of customers that visit gaming websites. We are very proud of this agreement and I look forward to showcasing our games and defending my honour against every- one willing to challenge me at ICE.” David Loveday, CEO of OpenBet, commented: “Our world exclu- sive licence agreement with Matchroom Sport enables OpenBet to produce some fantastic new content for our customers. The PDC darts games have been well received and we are pleased at the level of interest we have had from operators across the board. This is only the first in a long pipeline of new themed content and we are looking forward to launching many new games in 2012.”

Financial products have greater reach

Tammy Levy, director of marketing at SpotOptions, asks just why there is now a demand for Binary Options products and what they provide.

Gaming operators can easily start their own Binary Options operation, or even integrate financial games into their exist- ing portfolio with a shared wallet. With SpotOption’s Binary Options platform, a gaming operator never imagined that ex- panding into this fast-growing market was so easy. Providing the complete solution - fully branded, customised front-end, trad- ing engine, CMS, CRM, unrivalled risk management, and payment processing, all the operator has left is to drive traffic to the site.

But what has made Binary Options so popular? First of all, the simplicity. Binary Options are simply a prediction on the di- rection the price of an asset will go by a cer- tain expiry time. There are only two possi- ble outcomes - up or down. Second, there is the safety factor. A trad- er knows from the onset the amount he can win, and the amount he can lose. Third, the Binary Option is very attractive, because of the fast and high payouts - a trader can win 88 per cent of their investment in less than 60 Seconds, or 550 per cent for longer expiries. Not to mention that traders, ama- teurs, and gamers are subjected world- wide to persuading advertisements and banners. Since Binary Options is not actu- ally considered ‘gaming’ in most parts of the world, marketing opportunities are available for the operator in Google, Yahoo, etc. Hence, driving traffic to the website is easy, especially since the finan- cial gain is so appealing.

Selling Binary Options is very similar to selling casino games, in terms of VIP pro- grams, affiliates, bonus structures, and call centre sales and retention. The difference is the ease in marketing, with the much more lenient regulations that Binary Op- tions undergo. As far as the statistics are concerned, Binary Option traders drive higher revenues than gamers, with an aver- age lifetime player value of $1,300. SpotOption were the pioneers of the in-

dustry, and as today’s leaders they have now perfected their platform, especially for the gaming operator. Providing plat- forms such as ‘Slotoption’, the financial game takes on a slot approach, with super fast expiries which speak the same lan- guage that gamers are accustomed to. With special profit maximising features such as ‘Double Up’, and ‘Roll Over’, and even Smartphone applications, SpotOption’s platform provides gaming operators with exactly what they need to turn traders into loyal users.”
