Visitors to ICE Totally Gaming will be party to the biggest online/offline gaming event on record comprising 400 plus exhibitors occupying a total of 22,466 sqm of stand space. The record breaking show will mark the end of an era as ICE relocates to ExCel in 2013.

Global reach

You won’t find a more international gaming exhibition than ICE Totally Gaming. Visitors are expected from a 120 plus countries with the show boasting exhibitors from 52 nations making it the only gaming event to deliver a world view on the

business. Online registration

Anyone looking to attend the show, which is free of

charge to visitors, can register beforehand online at www.icetotallygaming.com. Doing so will enable them to be fast-tracked through the registration process when they arrive at Earls Court.

Show support

Racing Post’s popular correspondent Jim Cremin is a massive fan of ICE Totally Gaming even appearing in adverts for the show. He has gone on record stating that ICE ‘…has always been the one show that really matters.’

CLARION GAMING Putting on a show

Clarion Gaming show director Kate Chambers reveals what has changed for this year’s ICE Totally Gaming exhibition and why any operator worth their salt should visit Earls Court this month.

hy should bookmakers attend? One of the unique features of ICE Totally Gam- ing is the opportunity it gives visitors to see the entire gaming landscape under one roof, at the same time as delivering a sharp and relevant focus on indi- vidual gaming sectors. This means that whilst bookmakers may naturally gravitate towards, for example, the Racing Post Cafe in order to meet with colleagues and see old friends, they also have access to a further 400 plus ex- hibitors drawn from all sectors of the gaming industry and from all corners of the world.

The opportunity to see how other gaming sectors are going about their business, harnessing new technologies and adapting products to meet the demands of players can only be grasped at ICE which is the only exhibition in the world which brings together the online and offline worlds. ICE is the best opportunity of the year for visitors to be in- spired by totally original thinking covering every gaming sector from every part of the world.

Will the old ‘Betting Show’ area have a focal point? We’ve worked very hard to create a focal point for bookmak- ers at ICE Totally Gaming. In 2011 we introduced the Racing Post Café which was well received and was a great place for bookmakers to meet. I’m delighted that the Racing Post Café is back for 2012 and even better than before. Situated at the heart of ICE Totally Gaming, it will showcase a wide range of products for both businesses and punters. In addition it will play host to a book-signing with leg- endary bookmaker and punter Gary Wiltshire, plus there will be plenty of opportunities to sample Racing Post prod- ucts and the chance to win tickets to Royal Ascot. The Rac- ing Post, and in particular Jim Cremin, has been invaluable

in helping us to create an environment in which bookmak- ers feel at home, and, at the same time able to take advan- tage of everything else the most comprehensive exhibition in gaming is able to deliver.

Should the igaming sector have even more room within Earls Court?

I think the days when companies had a single sector focus have long gone. As the only exhibition which brings together the online and offline worlds we are seeing a huge crossover of interests. Betting operators will obviously want to see the specialist betting suppliers, but equally they will also want to look at what's going on with innovators in the online, mobile and street gaming sectors. An increasing number of compa-

nies have igaming interests so you could argue that igaming is a constant throughout ICE Totally Gaming. The exhibition reflects the hot topics of the day: for ex- ample regulations such as Facebook’s change in policy on gambling advertising has prompted new ways of thinking and new product strategies, all of which will be manifest at ICE. Some of the big ticket issues relate to the rising impor- tance of tablets, html5 and new developments in game con- tent across all platforms. In addition there’s the Combating Cybercrime conference, Integrating Offline & Online Gaming, CRM & Retention In Gaming, Monetising Social In Gaming and the What Next for Mobile Gamming Semi- nar which has speakers from Google, Manchester City Football Club and Sportingbet.

What makes ICE stand-out from the more dedicated igam- ing shows? ICE Totally Gaming provides visitors with a broad interna- tional perspective on the betting, bingo, casino, lottery, street, mobile and online sectors - no other exhibition de- livers in this way. Ours is a broad church of gaming, which allows visitors to not only see their primary area of interest but also to be inspired by totally original thinking from other areas of the gaming community. Great shows are dy- namic events which leave their visitors excited, invigorat- ed by what they’ve seen, occasionally surprised but always wanting more. I think you are more likely to achieve that type of response at a Totally Gaming event such as ICE.
