GRAEME MORRISON
Graeme Alexander Morrison’s representative rugby includes Hong Kong under-16, under-16 and under-18 appearances for Midland Schools and Scottish Schools, and under-19 and under-21 international honours. He played in all ten under-21 internationals in season 2002/03, including the IRB Under-21 World Championship in June 2003 that ended in victory over England. His first, second, third and fifth caps for Scotland all
came in 2004 against Australia, with his debut during the summer tour as replacement in the first Test. Earlier in the tour he had played in the matches against Queensland Reds, New South Wales Country and New South Wales Waratahs and was heralded as the best player on the park in the Waratahs match. He scored his first international try in the 100-8 win over Japan in November 2004. In June 2006 he made a considerable impact for
Scotland A in all three matches in the Barclays Churchill Cup. He scored a try in the November match against Australia A and continued in the A squad for the four other matches that season – against Italy A in March and the Churchill Cup in May and June. He added to his Scotland A tries in the 37-15 win against Italy A in February 2008, a performance that earned him a recall to the national squad for the Six Nations game against Wales six days later. Later that month he was back in the Scotland A side that overwhelmed Ireland A 67-7 at McDiarmid Park. His second start in international rugby followed in March 2008 in the Calcutta Cup victory at Murrayfield and he continued as first choice inside centre for the two Tests in Argentina in June, scoring a crucial late try in the second game in Buenos Aires. Though unavailable for the November Tests, he came
back to play in all five matches of the 2009 Six Nations Championship, scored the second try in Scotland’s 23-10 win over Fiji in the first Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Test that year and started in every game in 2010. He was the only player to start in both EMC Tests in August 2011.
