dinary heat pumps but use energy stored just below ground level to pro- vide heating, air conditioning and hot water. In the winter, heat is brought in through a loop, concentrated, and then delivered throughout the home to utilize that stored energy. During summer, excess heat in the home is removed and put back into the earth. Because geothermal units use the earth’s natural heat, they are among the most efficient and comfortable heating and cooling technologies cur- rently available. a Geostar unit can reduce a homeowner’s annual costs for heating, cooling and hot water by as much as 60% per year. the Geostar line includes the G

series geothermal heat pumps, with units available from two to six tons and up to 4.8 cOP and 28 eer, plus console units and indoor and outdoor splits; the Q series all-in-one geo - thermal boiler, furnace and air con- ditioner, and the Y series geothermal heat pumps with optional hot water heater. accessories make the Geostar brand complete with ther- mostats, geothermal storage tanks

aPPLe VaLLeY, MInn. — Uponor’s 2011 course offerings include an up- dated, four-day Geothermal Design and application course that offers ac- creditation by the International Ground source Heat Pump associa- tion (IGsHPa) upon passing the exam at the end of class. additionally, Up- onor has combined the aquasaFe™ Level I and aquasaFe Level II classes into a two-day course so pro- fessionals can be trained in the class- room as well as on a simulated jobsite in the academy’s state-of-the-art appli- cations lab. “We are looking forward to a great

2011 for training at Uponor,” said Wes sisco, senior trainer. “With all the innovations in systems and tech- nologies, Uponor factory training of- fers professionals the best opportunity to advance their busi- nesses and set themselves apart from the competition.” Growing in popularity, the climate

control™ network system class is expected to garner even more interest this year as radiant professionals are looking to offer their customers a whole-system solution with inte- grated system controls. the 2011 Uponor Factory training

course offering includes the follow- ing classes: • Radiant Hydronics and Design

with Controls — this three-day course is designed for contractors seeking to develop their understand- ing of hydronic radiant heating sys- tems and radiant system controls. • Advanced Radiant Hydronics

with Advanced Design Suite™ (ADS) —this three-day course is for the contractor interested in going to

head from mold and mildew • can retrofit to existing t&s,

Haws or chicago eye/face wash in- stallations • eye and face wash heads are in-
