OBITUARY Stan Pattie, HVACR industry veteran


COluMBuS, OHiO— with sympathy, HaRDi announced that its long- time friend, member and supporter Stan Pattie has passed away. Pattie began his career in 1968 and for many years to follow made count- less contributions to the industry and those fortunate enough to have known him. a HaRDi member since 2001, Pattie exemplified the ideal Supplier Member through his leadership as a committee chair, continual support he gave to HaRDi’s golfing events, consistent presence at Regional Meetings and annual Conferences, and the valued partnership he maintained with sev-


eral HaRDi distributors. The HaRDi family sends their


deepest condolences to all of those affected by the loss of this truly amazing man. Pattie, age 69, was a man of laugh-


ter and passion for his friends and family. He was an extremely avid golfer who also loved good jazz and most types of music. He was very in- terested in the history of places in his surroundings wherever he traveled. Pattie briefly attended Portland


State university after high school where he studied architecture. Fol- lowing school, he was a milkman for Carnation Dairy in Portland. in 1968,


Pattie went to work for Northwest Natural Gas, the beginning of his long and very successful career in the HVaCR industry. He later went to work for white-Rodgers while living in the Pacific Northwest. in 1986,

Stan Pattie


Pattie was promoted and he then re- located to St. louis, where he contin- ued with the company through the mid-1990s. He later went to work for Maplechase and retired working for iCM in October 2010. Pattie was highly received and re-


spected for his creativity, strong work ethic, determination to exceed his goals, and love for his colleagues. He moved to St. Charles, Mo., in 1990 where he established his home and many, many friends. He is survived by his daughter


Paige, his son Nicholas and daughter- in-law, lisa, and his five grandchil- dren. any donations in honor of Pattie




ice were held February 26 in St. Charles.
