Looking Ahead to Next Direction for Band 2011 Registration will close on January 21 for the February 11-13, 2011 Next Direc- tion Band workshop. This opportunity is designed for up and coming high school


band students interested in becoming music educators. Robert Rumbelow, di- rector of bands at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, will be working with select sophomores, juniors and se- niors from Wisconsin high schools. The workshop will take place at Waunakee


Past presidents Eva May Struckmeyer and Fred Leist sit together for one of the first times in nearly 50 years during the opening keynote session at the Wisconsin State Music Conference.
