THE 6th Annual Operators’ Conference to be staged
by UK consultancy Vision XS took place at Keble College Oxford in July, with over 180 attraction operators joining industry legends Bob Rogers, founder and chairman of BRC Imagination Arts, and John Holland, former general manager of Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom Walt Disney World, and other key speakers to discuss and debate the importance of the visitor experience.
James Berresford, CEO of VisitEngland, opened the
Matthew Latto, Leach Colour, Paul Sharp, Kids Play, and Dean Weal, Meticulous
conference emphasising the importance of tourism and destination management. Berresford firmly believes in the opportunities available
drive up the quality of the visitor experience and to focus on clever and collective marketing. Bob Rogers then really brought the conference to life
and wowed delegates with “Stories that create value.” He reinforced the need to “know yourself, to look into the hearts of your audience and to be original.” Looking at the success of Disney, and its founding principles, Rogers truly believes that love, hope, reassurance and strength must be at the heart of what attraction operators say and do.
