‘I SECOND THAT MOTION CONTROLLER’ UKIE’s recent tour of the major political parties’ annual conferences offered hands-on Wii sessions to MPs – including deputy PM Nick Clegg. Apparently he was a dab hand at Wii Sports Resort’s archery game. Sure, there’s a clever remark in there somewhere – something about missed targets? But we prefer this one: imagine his confusion if he’d been on the Everybody Votes channel – you can only choose ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ there, not ‘Whimpering middle ground’. Vince Cable (above) and John Prescott (left) also showed face. We’d like to think Prescott asked to play Super Punch-Out.

WHERE’S CHARLIE? This week we begin a new series in Off The Record called ‘Where’s Charlie Barrett’. See if you can find the Kalypso Media Digital boss in amongst Darryl Still (1C), Graeme Struthers (GetGames), Robbie Still, Spencer Crossley (WBIE), Peter King (1C), Terry Soloman (1C), James Cato (Mastertronic), Alfie Dinsey, Stuart Dinsey (MCV), Mark Maslowicz (Xbox) and Paul Sulyok (Green Man Gaming). The giant amongst midgets is QPR’s Lee Cook.
