FIFA 11 has given the industry a much-needed kick this week, selling 821,000 copies in two days. EA’s football sim became the UK’s third biggest game launch ever, behind Modern Warfare 2and Grand Theft Auto IV. It is also the biggest FIFAgame ever released.


In its first week on sale it generated £28.93m – a 36 per cent increase in revenue and 21 per cent rise in units sold over last year’s FIFA 10.
