store over the past few years that make provisioning for your upcoming voyage much easier than it was in the past. They make many items today that do not need refrigeration until they are open. Some examples of this are bacon, milk and ready to eat meals that just need heated. All of these save room in the cooler until they are opened. Now that you have gathered all this
information you can prepare a menu for your voyage and from that menu, the provisions that you will need to buy for the trip.
Sample menu for one day:
cruise I use the freezer setting and can keep hamburgers, chicken breast and even ice cream frozen for the duration of the trip. For a cooler, I rotate frozen ice packs such as techni ice, to a cooler each day to keep my refrigerated item cold.
For those without a gourmet galley
on board, they make an oven used for camping that sits on top of your stove. It works great for baking biscuits, brownies, and many other items that
you would use a conventional oven for and it folds flat for storage when not in use.
Another advancement I used on
my last cruise was “green bags” which keep produce fresh much longer than storing it in other methods. They also make one for bread items.
Food
There have been many items added to the shelves of your favorite grocery
Breakfast:
Bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, and juice.
Lunch:
Toasted cheese sandwiches, soup and crackers and Kool-Aid.
Dinner:
Salad with dressing, lemonade, BBQ chicken breast, bread and butter. Snack: Popcorn and Pepsi. Once you have the menu planned
