Lake Union
Wooden Boat Festival July 3-4
The theme of the annual Lake
Union Wooden Boat Festival is heritage wooden boats. The ambiance is that of an old-fashioned, down-home waterfront festival where everything is fun, almost everything is free and nothing much is fancy. The 2010 Festival will include: visiting vessels, free public boat rides on Lake Union, activities for kids including toy boat building and a scavenger hunt, craft and skill demonstrations, family boat building, food vendors, live music, and a 24 hour boat building race called the Quick and Daring. Bring your wooden boat to the show!
There’s no fee to display your boat unless you post a for sale sign. How about building one through our
Family Boat Building class? Or you can create your own design for our Quick and Daring Race! Participants in the race get one day to build a boat and then race it against other contestants. Cash prizes are awarded. If you would like to learn more
about the 2010 Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival, please visit
www.cwb.org or call The Center for Wooden Boats at
(206) 382-2628.
