In his visions while in prison on the Isle of Patmos, the Apostle John saw a “beast” with seven heads and ten horns. The seven heads represented the seven kingdoms of the world. John said, “And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space” Revelation 17:10. These “fallen kingdoms” were Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, and the Greeks. John said, “and one is,” speaking of the Roman Empire, which ruled the nations in his day. He continued, “and one is yet to come,” which spoke of the Holy Roman Empire of the Dark Ages. Yet, John saw an “eighth kingdom,” which is “of the seven.” This eighth world kingdom is Islam, which has existed since the seventh century AD.

The Islamic nations are mostly peaceful, with the obvious exception of Iran. Forty-seven years ago, in 1979, the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini led a revolution to overthrow the Shaw of Iran and his Western policies. The Ayatollah established a radical Islamic republic which has continually sought the destruction of America and Israel. They came to power under President Carter, and have survived presidents Reagan, Bush Sr, Clinton, GW Bush, Obama, Trump 45, and Joe Biden. Donald Trump is our forty-seventh president, and he has practically destroyed Iran's ability to make war. There is something, however, that our president may not have considered: he is not dealing with a nation; instead, he is dealing with a religion, one whose goal is long- term.

In less than three years, Donald Trump will be gone. Regardless of who our next president is, Iran will rebuild their military and begin once more their pursuit of a nuclear weapon. Again, it depends on who our next president is. If President Obama's initiative had continued, Iran would have a nuclear bomb today, and the entire world would be held hostage.

which “was, and is not,” “and is of the seven,” which becomes the eighth great kingdom. This eighth world kingdom speaks of Islam in general, but Iran in particular. Remember, “the eighth” is “of the seven.” Of the seven world kingdoms, Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Persia, Greek, Roman, and the “Holy Roman Empire,” only Persia, which is modern-day Iran, fits the prophecy of “the beast that was, and is not, and yet is” Revelation 17:8.

“And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.”

Islam's goal is to rule the entire world and force all other religions to convert to Islam. As Christians, there is one thing we must be aware of: Allah is not

the god we serve. I have known many Muslims, some of whom were friends in business. In my discussions with them about religion, they were actually more agreeable than I was. They would not say anything bad about Jesus, and they would always end our visit with these words: “One thing we can agree on is this, we both serve the same god.” I had to vehemently disagree, “No, we do not serve the same God.” In the Koran, the scriptures repeatedly say that Allah does not have a son. The true and living God, who is the eternally existent “I Am,” whom some call Jehovah, or Yahweh, is the father of Jesus Christ.

It is very possible that when Jesus Christ returns to earth, Islam may be the majority religion. Jesus said, “… when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8. When the last trumpet sounds and our Lord Jesus Christ returns to earth, the scripture says, “and the nations were angry” Revelation 11:18. These “angry nations” shall “make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them:
