LIFE & TRENDS At 50,
Newsmax Anchor Turns Focus on Fitness
Certified health coach Bianca de la Garza reveals how she builds strength and boosts longevity. ::
BY MARISA HERMAN B
ianca de la garza unpacks the day’s biggest news stories on her Newsmax show Bianca Across the
Nation, weekdays at 12 p.m. ET. Now, the award-winning
journalist is also exploring one of the fastest-growing topics: longevity and healthy aging. De la Garza recently launched a new show
segment, Living Longer, which explores the rapidly evolving world of longevity, nutrition, preventive medicine, and wellness. It’s personal for her. While de la
Garza has always prioritized fitness and wellness, turning 50 prompted her to “start upping my game.” Her commitment has evolved far
beyond exercise and healthy eating. She is a certified health coach
through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), with training in cognitive behavioral strategies that help people develop lasting healthy habits rather than chasing quick fixes. She points out it is one thing
to know what you should do to live a healthier lifestyle, but it is another to understand why people struggle to do it consistently. Her expertise, coupled
with her personal regimen and insights from world-renowned health professionals, provides the foundation for the new segment. With advancements in cancer detection, breakthroughs in peptides, and expanding use of GLP-1 medications, de la Garza is focused on cutting through the noise surrounding the explosion of health
information to bring viewers reliable information so they can make informed decisions about their health. Rather than promoting trends,
de la Garza is helping viewers understand both the promise and the science behind emerging treatments. She believes the Make America
Healthy Again movement has accelerated a national conversation away from being a “sick care system” and toward prevention — helping people stay healthy for as long as possible. That prevention-first mindset
extends well beyond medicine. Nutrition has become one of
her biggest priorities. She puts whole foods on her menu, has increased her protein intake, and is cooking more meals at home while avoiding heavily processed ingredients and seed oils. She cautions
against chasing the latest
supplement advertised on social media before understanding your own health. She recommends getting a
comprehensive blood panel to find out what you may be deficient in before rushing to buy supplements. She notes that laboratory
The goal is to empower people. Know your numbers. Have ownership of your health information. Then make decisions.” — Bianca de la Garza
