Leading national law firm Blake Morgan has strengthened its legal practice with the introduction of a project and cost management consultancy team.

Believed to be the first law firm in the UK to offer a fully integrated real estate service the Project and Cost Management team is led by James Gundy alongside colleagues Jim Leighton, Alex Leighton and Alex McCusker, all formerly of AECOM and Davis Langdon.

Blake Morgan partner Philip Jardine said: “The built environment landscape is changing so we developed a new innovative service that meets the needs of our clients.

“Project and cost management are important services within the property and construction industry. We often find ourselves working alongside consultants or in-house teams on large capital programmes and wanted to provide our clients with a seamless service from start to finish.”

He continues "We believe that your business is our business so we fully immerse ourselves in your commercial environment. We understand how decisions made now, will impact your projects both up to and beyond completion. Our clients tell us that it's our commercially astute, determined and human approach to providing innovative advice that makes us a valued extension of their team. As your trusted advisor we’ll focus on your project objectives and make sure that you have the right advice and support.”

As part of the Blake Morgan Property Group, the team of surveyors complement the existing real estate, planning and construction practice groups across the firm.

James Gundy added: “Blake Morgan is an innovative Top 50 UK law firm with a strong regional presence across Wales and southern England. The team has a well-established property and construction offering with teams of highly regarded lawyers that specialise in all aspects of commercial, residential, urban, coastal and mixed-use projects.
