sectors. It is important that we ensure that the building blocks are in place to deliver sustainable growth and put Carlisle and our region on the map”.

Over 150 guests were in attendance who were also given the opportunity to tour Kingmoor Park’s latest multi million pound development of 19 high specification units one of which was the venue for the business breakfast.

On the 14th December Kingmoor Park Properties Ltd hosted a business breakfast with a difference. The event celebrated the completion of the site’s latest multi million pound development and, as the company looks to its 20th anniversary next year, the theme of the event was rather appropriately “The Next 20 Years”.

A representative from the organisations who will assist in ensuring the next 20 years are as successful gave speeches on the day including John Stevenson MP, Northern Powerhouse Director, Henri Murison, Carlisle City Council’s Director of Economic Development, Jane Meek.

Jane Meek said: “Delivering an ambitious growth strategy takes time, effort and partnership working across both public and private

Speaking after the event MP John Stevenson said, “It’s a tremendous day. In many respects, it links in with the growth of the city. Kingmoor Park started 20 years ago with nothing here, it worked in partnership with councils and government, and now 20 years later, it is employing thousands of people, its got nearly 200 businesses here and it’s a got a vision for the next 20 years.”

These new units, which have been funded by Kingmoor Park Properties Ltd and European Regional Development Funding are situated on Kingmoor Park Central, meaning occupiers have access to Enterprise Zone benefits as well as excellent transport links to the A689 (W) and M6 motorway.

Kingmoor Park plays an important role in facilitating the growth of small businesses and are constantly assessing the market to encourage entrepreneurial opportunities. The site already has a number of examples of businesses that have been created onsite and are successfully growing creating jobs in the process.
