An S&S 4D Free Spin roller coaster similar to this is headed to Six Flags Mexico this Spring.

Vekoma V

ekoma Rides Manufacturing is scheduled to deliver twenty roller coasters to open in 2018, with more announcements still to come. The majority of these are in Asia, corresponding with its current theme park

boom fuelled by a growing middle class. Boomerang coasters are headed to Fantawild Asian Legends and Silk Road Culture Expo Park in China. Both a Space Warp and a suspended family coaster are rising at China’s Oriental Heritage. Vinpearl Land in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, will add three Vekoma coasters including a Mine Train, LSM launched Fire Storm, and a family suspended coaster. Fantawild Adventure, in Henan, China, is adding both a suspended looping coaster and a family coaster, while Fantawild Shanxi, China, is getting a Family Boomerang. At least six Transmart parks in Indonesia are building family coasters. In Europe, meanwhile, a twin Family Boomerang will go to Wildlands Adventure Zoo in Emmen, the Netherlands. Italy’s Mirabilandia is adding a Giant Inverted Boomerang, and finally, Mexico’s Parque Las Antenas is introducing a Family Suspended Coaster.

Zierer

At IAE in Orlando, Zierer marketing director Marina Ernst-Weiderer revealed that for 2018, several Zierer rides are destined for Spirou Park, France. These include a Force Two, Force Zero and an Elevated Seating Coaster, a Wave Swinger with 56 seats, a Family Freefall Tower, Flying Flowers, and Kontiki L. Germany’s Holiday Park receives a Zierer Force Two Coaster, while Djurs Sommerland in Denmark will install a Force Zero Coaster. A Family Freefall Tower will rise at Family Park Neusiedler See in Austria. A Flying Fish-style ride with a custom decoration is set for an unnamed park in France. A Russian park has ordered a Kontiki L and Family Freefall Tower. Zierer created the vehicle and track system for the Ghostbuster dark ride that opened in 2017 at

Heide Park, Soltau, Germany. Zierer’s media partner, Triotech, did the media for the attraction. The ride has nine vehicles with six scenes. The track length is approximately 96 metres (315 feet). Pictured here, the Zierer vehicle has some special effects like pitch and roll as well as 360° rotation.

Intamin

Intamin is sending two new Parachute Towers, 25 and 40 metres (82 and 131 feet) in height, to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in Zhuhai, China. Intamin’s Gyro Swing, which opened in 2017 in Liseberg and swings guests up to 45 metres (148 feet), had become the most popular attraction in the park by season’s end. The Swiss manufacturer is now sending another Gyro Swing, this one swinging up to 27 metres (89 feet), to Adventure World, Perth, Australia. An Intamin Sky Jump opened in Gröna Lund in 2017.
