Henley Bridge launches “price-fighting” chocolate drops

Ingredients specialist Henley Bridge has unveiled an exciting new range of price-busting chocolate drops to help struggling makers navigate the ‘cost of living’ crisis. The new Norte Eurocao range – which launches in January - is 15-20% cheaper than the leading chocolate brands - costing between £30 and £33 per 5kg - but without compromising on quality. The range comprises: • Wengue Dark chocolate (70% couverture)

• Haya Dark chocolate (60% couverture)

• Mara Milk chocolate (34% couverture)

Miravet White chocolate (30% couverture)

All of the chocolates are Rainforest

Alliance certified, and suitable for kosher and halal diets. Sunflower lecithin is used as an emulsifier as opposed to soya, therefore making the range suitable for

consumers who have a soya allergy. David Cratchley, purchasing and NPD manager for Henley Bridge, said: “The cocoa market is currently at a 30-year high so we’ve introduced this new range as a price-fighting alternative. “The consumer voice has changed and people aren’t necessarily worrying about the provenance of chocolate - they’re more concerned with saving money. “The Norte Eurocao range is produced in Spain, where production costs are cheaper than in Belgium, but the end products are very similar in quality.”
