Gerhard Schubert boasts intelligent solutions for the highest quality in snack and confectionery packaging
G
erhard Schubert is set to kick off the exhibition year of 2024 at ProSweets Cologne, a prominent international trade fair for the snack and confectionery sector, taking place from
January 28 to 31. Positioned at Stand F030-G031 in Hall 10.1, Schubert will showcase its expertise in packaging through the unveiling of the TLM Comfort Feeder, an innovative solution for efficiently feeding carton blanks. The exhibition serves as a pivotal platform for Schubert to present its technological advancements to the confectionery and snack industry, offering insights into automated and sustainable packaging solutions. ProSweets Cologne stands out as a vital
event for the entire supply spectrum of the confectionery and snack industry, providing a meeting place for companies spanning raw materials to production and packaging technology. With a clientele that includes well-known companies in the snack and confectionery sector, the trade fair becomes an opportune moment for Schubert to unveil its latest technological innovations for the packaging industry.
TLM Power Compact: A bar packer with the Comfort Feeder – very high output in the smallest of footprints.
A spotlight at the event will be the live demonstration of the TLM Comfort Feeder, addressing the challenge of process delays caused by blank magazine depletion. This feeder eliminates the problem by allowing operators to place an entire pallet of blanks, still in the cutting sheet, into the machine. An F4 robot then extracts individual blanks from the sheet, feeding them into the erecting process at a rate of 60 cycles per minute. This not only eradicates delays but also optimises the use of packaging material, resulting in cost and resource savings. Schubert’s comprehensive range of
advanced technologies encompasses pick & place robots, flowrappers, casepackers, and complete packaging lines. Of particular interest to snack and confectionery manufacturers are packaging lines allowing different product variants to enter the packaging process simultaneously, enabling diverse assortment configurations. The company’s commitment to sustainability is evident through its Mission Blue Sustainability Initiative. At ProSweets, Schubert will showcase tangible results of this initiative, presenting two sustainable packaging concepts: Dotlock, a glue-free

carton packaging technology, and a carton- monofilm hybrid solution that minimises plastic usage without the need for
glue.Beyond technological innovations, Schubert offers supplementary services to meet customer needs precisely. Services include Packaging Perspectives, supporting customers in finding suitable sustainable packaging, Consulting for advice on complete packaging processes and optimisation potential, and 4YOU Digital Services allowing customers to record and evaluate line data for enhanced process understanding and efficiency. In the face of challenges such as cost pressures and increased raw material prices in the snack and confectionery industry, Schubert aims to provide solutions that make processes leaner, more efficient, and cost-effective. Martin Sauter, Sales Director at Gerhard Schubert, expresses enthusiasm about contributing to the industry’s success with their innovative packaging machines and extensive service offerings.
