AS NEW REGIONAL PRESIDENT Mars Wrigley has announced the appointment of Marc Carena as its new Regional President for Europe, CIS & Turkey. In his new position, Marc will bring his extensive experience in retail, foodservice and FMCG to help enhance and drive Mars Wrigley’s strategy for purpose-led growth across Europe, CIS and Turkey.

six years by Shaid Shah, who is now serving as Mars Wrigley’s Global President of Food, Multisales and Global Customers.

HENK JAN STEPS DOWN As of October 1, 2022, Henk Jan will be stepping down from his role as ‘Chief Chocolate Officer’ at Tony’s. After almost 12 years of leading Tony’s Chocolonely, Henk Jan will be handing over the baton but staying on as a shareholder and on Tony’s supervisory board. He’s boldly raised the bar on the issues of child labour and modern slavery in cocoa. Under his leadership Tony’s has grown from a little over €1 million to €142 million est. revenue in our current fiscal year. Now, working with close to 9,000 farmers and leading our 300 strong Tony’s team, the company has said “it’s time for him to take a different path”. Henk Jan commented: “It’s been one helluva rollercoaster – one I wouldn’t have missed for anything in the world. Leading this bold, mission-driven impact business has been an absolute honour. Looking back, I feel privileged to have worked with the talented team Tonys. I am proud of the impact we’ve made together thus far. And I feel excited about the impact that Tony’s will make in the years to come.” Douglas Lamont will be taking up the reins in delivering Tony’s mission – and
with 15 years of balancing purpose and profit whilst scaling innocent drinks under his belt, Tony’s said they are “eager to get cracking at making even more impact together in chocolate!”
As Area Manager, Clemens has
achieved excellent results in recent years. Now, in his new role, he’ll be able to draw on extensive experience in the industry, initially in packaging (where he handled the engineering- automation field for companies such as Bosch Sigpack Systems AG) and then in chocolate, where he was sales account manager for the Bühler Group. “With Sebastian heading sales”, observed Mark
