H&B adds Emerys

we aim to be the very best in our sector. What excites us the most is the fact we are now truly independent.”

The Bradfords Group first acquired Snow Timber Ltd in 1985. However, following a strategic review of its businesses, the Bradfords Group decided to focus on its core business, Bradfords Building Supplies, as managing director David Young explained: “I’d like to wish all Snows Timber employees every success for the future.”I believe that the Bradfords Group has an exciting future ahead. We’ve been brave enough to make some big changes to create the right business foundations that will ensure our future success.”

Emerys Timber and Builders Merchant has joined H&B buying group. Part of the Joseph Parr Group, Emerys is based in the north west Midlands and last year turned over £14m from its two depots. Emerys’ managing director, James Hipkins, believes that membership will bring benefits: “Clearly the buying deals and rebates are a big part of the

reasons we joined H&B.” “Being inside the H&B family not only protects the business, it also offers synergies within our group with others that are H&B members. Emerys is also anticipating improved and closer relationships with H&B suppliers, working with them in partnership to build credibility, support and improved alliances.
