FRANCHISEFOCUS Healthcare is an important and growing market

for Minster Cleaning thanks to its expertise in providing specialist cleaning services to the sector. Ian is spearheading several initiatives, one of which is aligning Minster’s healthcare cleaning plans and audit processes with newly issued NHS national standards of healthcare cleanliness guidelines.

“Minster Cleaning’s annual turnover is now in excess of £43million and, with a reputation for integrity and professionalism, it is one of the country’s most successful franchises”

With Covid-19 restrictions now eased, Ian

has restarted face-to-face training programmes while maintaining virtual training options for those who want them. Topics include BICSc (British Institute of Cleaning Science) licence to practice, infection control and values-based training. He is also managing an ISO accreditation for the Minster Cleaning Network Support Centre and co-ordinating ISO accreditations for several Minster branches. Minster Cleaning offers a safe and secure future

whether franchisees buy an established business or a new territory. They get help with the transition from employment to self-employment as well as with accounting, training, marketing, operations and the complex fields of employment law, health and safety and environmental legislation. Minster Cleaning’s annual turnover is now in

excess of £43million and, with a reputation for integrity and professionalism, it is one of the country’s most successful franchises. The top branches turn over more than £2million per year, half of franchisees bring in annual revenues of £1million+ and some franchisees generate in excess of £200,000 in net profit. Minster Cleaning franchisees come from a

wide range of professions, but all have people- management abilities, commercial awareness and determination in common, essential attributes for a management franchise where some branches employ well over 200 people. The size of territories means that there is always ample potential for growth. By securing contracts from just a small fraction of the market in their area, franchisees can build a highly successful business. And as commercial cleaning is an essential service that appeals to a broad client base, the market isn’t too greatly affected by fluctuations in the UK economy.

p Ian Hadley Minster Cleaning is a leading force in office

cleaning and has been a full member of the British Franchise Association since 1992. On average, franchisees have been with Minster for 14 years and some longer-serving franchisees are planning to retire in the next few years. There are currently resales available in Devon and Cornwall, Essex and Nottingham. New franchise opportunities include Cambridge, Doncaster, Durham, Guildford, Leicester, London, Middlesex, Peterborough and Swansea. *We are currently running an amazing offer to

celebrate our 40 Year Anniversary. This means the initial start-up cost of a new greenfield territory is only £40+VAT (previously £15,000+VAT) throughout 2022! This covers licence fee, territory, IT equipment and training. Terms and conditions apply (visit www.minsterfranchise.co.uk for more details). In addition, a minimum of £40,000 cash is needed to fund a £5,000 marketing launch package and £35,000 working capital (plus personal drawings). Finance support is available from leading high street banks, subject to status. 
