What is CeX? Retailer Complete Entertainment eXchange (CeX), took the buy-and- sell concept refined and improved it. Specialising in trading in digital entertainment products CeX buy, sell and exchange mobile phones, games, electronics, computers, and other entertainment technology directly from the public. Founded in 1992 CeX have expanded across the UK and across the globe, now operating in 10 countries including Australia, Ireland, India, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and Spain. As of 2021, there are more than 600 CeX stores Worldwide. CeX also operates a best-in-class website:
webuy.com which supports stores with live pricing, stock levels and drives additional revenue through to stores.
What training is provided? CeX provide a comprehensive 12-week (minimum) intensive store-based training programme made up of: practical onsite experience that covers all aspects of retail and sales principles; technical and bespoke point-of-sale systems and operational procedures; supervisor

and store management competencies; and general franchise and business ownership principles. You will gain valuable experience
across corporate and franchised stores to ensure that you are fully competent in running a CeX store.
What is a normal day for a CeX franchisee like? As a CeX franchisee, you will own and manage your own CeX store, your role will encompass a number of activities, including running the store, recruiting, managing and motivating your team, building and maintaining relationships with customers and growing the business overall. When needed, CeX Support Centre experts are available to help at every step of the way and are just a phone call or email away. CeX encourages franchisees to
develop their business and, if they wish to, expand to more locations. Some multi-unit franchisees having more than 20 stores and others multiple stores in different countries. This will change the requirements and the daily life of the franchisee to a more administrative manager role.
