Eyes forward... W
e greet 2022 with some Covid-realted restrictions in place and
a return to (new) normal still at the top of everyone's wish list for this year, but not totally within our collective grasp. We know, however, that
it's achievable, since we saw festivals, weddings, international travel, major sports tournaments and, most noteworthy, a live, in-person franchise exhibition all taking place in 2021! The only sane response to the
fluctuating situation is to 'keep going'. After all, there's no real
alternative to moving forward and keeping your eyes on the prize! In that spirit, I'm happy to tell you that this latest issue has plenty to spur you on in your quest to find the perfect business partner. Franchising is famously
recession-resistant and many brands have not just survived but thrived during this challenging period. Being part of a network where
knowledge-share and support is not only available but actively encouraged, is what helps to sustain franchisees and their businesses, and is just one good reason to invest in this tried- and-tested business model.
Many franchisors describe
their networks as being like 'family' or the relationship between franchisor and franchisee as like 'a marriage', so it's little wonder that many franchise businesses are run by husband-and-wife duos or family-member teams crossing the generational divide. See our special report on page 31. Whether you want to work with family, a business partner or elect to pursue success as a solo operator, you'll find plenty here to inspire you on your franchise journey.
Enjoy the mag and good luck with all your endeavours!
