Tell us a little about your brand… 9Round delivers total-body results in a quick and convenient 30-minute workout, centred around boxing, kickboxing and the latest functional training methods in a full-body circuit format. Add to this no class times, heart rate technology and trainer-led workouts and you have the ingredients to ensure a knockout member experience and business opportunity. 9Round was founded in 2008 by owners Heather and Shannon Hudson with a strong passion for fitness and a desire to change people’s lives. They wanted to create a place where busy people could get an intense workout without spending hours at the gym or having to adhere to an inconvenient class schedule. 9Round prides itself on being one of the most affordable fitness franchises in the industry, as well as providing every owner with a full suite of business support. 9Round has a low cost of entry, low overhead and straightforward maintenance.


Where are you seeking to franchise? As a brand, we’ve enjoyed rapid and impressive growth across 16 different countries, and boast over 750 clubs open and trading. Our current focus is in the UK and Ireland, Germany and Spain. The reason for these countries is because we have support teams set up in the UK and Spain, with Germany next on the list to recruit. The market penetration rates and demand for fast and flexible fitness brands are at Europe’s highest. The fitness franchise market continues to grow and 9Round offers one of the industry’s lowest overall initial investments.

What will a typical day for a franchisee be like? It completely depends how involved the franchisee will be – owner-operator or owner-employer? Typically, an owner-employer will have a senior manager running the day to day of their business, whether it’s a single unit or a multi-unit operation. The franchisee


will be looking at weekly reports related to in-club performance across sales, operations, club standards and people. An owner-operator will be more hands-


on, delivering the product to members and being the brand ambassador for your club. Having overall management of sales, operations, club standards and people, means you’ll be the face of your business and responsible for driving your business and the brand as the fitness facility of choice within your local area.
