Buffet dinner Book launch
The first day of the festival marked the launch of Jeffrey Sun’s new book on hat culture, Unveiling Crowned Elegance: Hats Fashion & Culture. The book features a collection of hats spanning many categories, with each page filled with unique designs and inspirational pieces. The publication is not only a commemoration and collection of the past; it also serves as a window to showcase hat-related culture and artistry to the world. At the launch event, Jeffrey Sun spoke about his initiative for publishing the book. “I have been involved in the hat industry for nearly three decades and have been collecting hats for nearly two decades,” he said. “Every time I look at the museum displays of precious collections and those that have not been displayed, I feel a surge of excitement in my heart! I have always wanted to share these collections with all enthusiastic friends who love hats and fashion culture.” In addition, Jeffrey Sun donated a number of

books, including a collection of the best 163 poems on hats from 1443 competing entries. At the same time, an award ceremony was held to honour those who have made outstanding contributions to the hat industry.
Fashion show
A buffet dinner was held in the cosy surroundings of the ‘Meditation Garden’, where the guests were able to wear their hats and taste fine wines and dishes while freely exchanging ideas. After a short break, the ‘Top Style Feast’ evening event officially commenced. The designers of Hatters Hub and the team of Zhou Ming brought a ‘salute to the classic fashion show’ that offered the audience a visual feast. On the water stage of the park, carefully crafted hats were unveiled one after another through the interpretation of models, to the delight of the numerous hat- loving spectators. The special stage lighting set depicted the models in the fashion show as beautiful silhouettes, with flickering shapes projected onto the background, magnifying the allure of the hats.
