BEYOND the GAZEBO


To honor its 50th anniversary in 1978, the Queens Chi Omega chapter erected a gazebo on the exact spot of the first Chi O house. Relocated several times over the years, the gazebo now stands next to Belk Chapel.


The story goes like this: If you and your love share a kiss in the Chi Omega Gazebo, you two will always be together. From the looks of the pictures we receive from Queens couples, the legend applies not only to love and marriage but also the baby carriage!


Ray Warga ’08 and Amelia Farmer Warga ’12 welcomed their daughter, Lydia Rae Warga, on Nov. 2, 2023. They are setling into parenthood at their home in Charlote.


In August 2023, Lauren Hooper ’16 and Eric Richard ’15, were married in Asheville, North Carolina. They are forever thankful to Queens for bringing them together!

Yes, she is a realtor and adores her clients who always become her best friends. If she is not helping someone sell a home locally, Alexa also travels to the Boone area to assist a few developers sell land with beautiful mountain views.
