The move marks a return to North Carolina for Rotondo, whose first dean position was at Meredith College in Raleigh, where she also served as senior vice president for academic administration. Packey’s contributions to Queens span over 13 years, during which he has held various leadership roles including CFO, counsel to the president, and most recently, associate vice president for sustainability and institutional planning.

As CFO and VP for administration, Packey will continue to oversee all aspects of the university’s financial operations, many of Queens’ administrative and facilities functions, and provide strategic oversight for Queens’ sustainability initiatives that aim to transform the university into a greener, more sustainable campus. Packey will continue to guide the university’s commitment to making informed and conscious decisions that positively impact the environment.

Summers has spent more than two decades in higher education fundraising at institutions in the Carolinas and across the country. She comes to Queens from Newberry College in South Carolina where she served as the vice president for institutional advancement and president of the Newberry College Foundation.

Prior to Newberry, Summers served as the senior leader for all advancement operations within the University of South Carolina’s six health sciences schools and colleges, overseeing an annual fundraising total of $20 million. Summers also spent time in leadership roles at Auburn University and Colorado College, where she had a history of increasing alumni engagement and giving.
