Class of ’27 Breaks Records at Start of Fall Semester


Queens University’s Class of 2027 was the largest and most academically prepared class in the university’s history. Queens welcomed 414 eager new first-time, first-year students, an increase of 36% since last year. In addition, the university welcomed 106 new transfer students and 121 new graduate students to campus. The newest Royals finished high school strong and are entering Queens with an average GPA of 3.5.

Carolinas Entrepreneur Hall of Fame Celebrates New Laureates


Last September, the McColl School of Business at Queens, along with its Entrepreneurial Leadership Circle (ELC), honored distinguished business leaders at the 13th annual Carolinas Entrepreneur Hall of Fame. The event celebrated the contributions of entrepreneurial leaders who have created innovative pathways to success and career opportunities in the Carolinas and beyond.


This year’s Class of 2023 inductees included Louis Foreman, founder and CEO of Enventys Partners, and Jennifer Appleby, executive chair of Wray Ward. Betsy

Hauser, founder and CEO of Tech Talent & Strategy, received the 2023 Innovator of Distinction award.


Carolinas Entrepreneur Hall of Fame inductees are selected by a commitee comprised of entrepreneurs, business leaders, and historians representing both North Carolina and South Carolina. Laureates are selected based on a set of criteria that include looking at each honored individual’s legacy of shaping the business and economy throughout the Carolinas and beyond.
