Seema Dalvi’s journey from a former maths teacher to


celebrated chef and restaurateur is nothing short of inspiring. Her relentless passion for authentic Indian cuisine led her to open Dalvee Restaurant in Poulton-le-Fylde in 2020. Her dedication to culinary excellence saw her pick up the prestigious Chef of the Year award for the North of England at the Asian Curry Awards 2023. Through her cookery lessons, recipe book, and community engagement, Seema continues to impact the culinary world and lift those around her.

experience working in public bodies and central government. Before joining TfN, she spent over five years as director of policy and communications at the Office for Nuclear Regulation. She also worked at the department of business, energy and industrial strategy (BEIS) as head of operations for the regional growth fund, and at the department of energy and climate change (DECC) leading internal communications and strategic policy.

Born in Ormskirk, the daughter of Indian immigrant doctors, Nisha Katona is the founder, chief executive and executive and development chef of Mowgli Street Food restaurants. Nisha works extensively as a business and food expert on several projects across the BBC, ITV, and Channel 4.
