Leading the kitchen brigade at Michelin star Northcote since the age of 23 and a regular face on Britain’s TV screens, she draws inspiration from the Ribble Valley landscape to produce stunning dishes which showcase the wide range of incredible produce Lancashire has to offer. She recently became an ambassador at the Scholars restaurant at Blackburn College.

Miranda’s career in
business support was preceded by a successful turn as an entrepreneur. Today she leads the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Low Carbon, which provides advice, support, and commercial services to promote low carbon and net zero business practices. She has flown the flag for Lancashire at the COP gatherings on climate change and also sits on the newly appointed Lancashire Business Board.

When Anna was appointed managing
director of Beaverbrooks the Jewellers she become only the second-ever non-family member to sit on the board in 99 years. Anna joined the business as a graduate trainee in 1998, and also became the company’s first female chief executive in 2013. Beaverbrooks is regularly listed as one of the UK’s best companies to work for.

From organising networking events to inspiring young
women through mentorship, Wendy is the figurehead of female support in the business space and is constantly working to connect people. She’s currently encouraging sign-ups
for her RISE programme – a six-month journey of personal and professional discovery and growth delivered by Role UK for the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce’s Female Leadership Academy.

Lisa started Perfect Recruitment in 2007 supplying temporary and permanent
catering staff nationwide and the company is going from strength to strength. She built the company up single-handledly as a single parent with two small children. Lisa has assisted hundreds of people into work and placed people in permanent positions, focusing on keeping people local to their area.

Karen has worked in FE since 1986. During her time as
principal, Karen has led Burnley College to the title of number one college in the country in the government’s achievement rate tables for learners aged 16 to 18. She has overseen the expansion of the college, development of the curriculum and growth in learner numbers. In 2024 she was appointed to chair the Burnley Long Term Plan for Towns board.

Andrea Challis is joint chief executive of the group that
owns Partington’s Holiday Parks across
Lancashire, the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. The business is behind an upcoming £75m leisure development at Windy Harbour. With 30 years’ experience in tourism and leisure, Andrea is a board director for Blackpool and The Fylde College, a director of the Blackpool Tourism BID, a director of Lancashire Partnership Against Crime (LANPAC) and a Deputy Lieutenant of the county.

She is currently commercial director of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre at Samlesbury which specialises in carrying out world-leading research into advanced machining, manufacturing and materials, which is of practical use to industry.

Christine, from Blackburn, is a distinguished figure
in the arts and cultural sectors, renowned for her significant contributions to the Manchester International Festival (MIF). As a co-founder and former managing director of MIF, she played a pivotal role in establishing the festival as a major global event. She is currently working on projects in London, Manchester and Leeds. Closer to home she has been involved in the development of the Chew’s Yard food hall in Preston.
