OPENING DOORS TO CAREERS ACROSS LANCASHIRE

As an award-winning North West law firm, Napthens is committed to creating opportunities for young people interested in a career in law through its education partnerships and focus on increasing social mobility in the legal profession.

Our innovative emerging talent development programme, Flourish, is open to all apprentices and trainee solicitors and focuses on developing and supporting people throughout the first few years within the firm, equipping them with clear pathways and life-long professional skills.

Flourish was created by a collaboration of lawyers and professional colleagues from across the firm and delivers a curriculum which enables people to learn key business, financial, technical, digital and professional skills at the start of their careers, and will enable them to flourish in their roles with the firm.

Apprenticeships are a key part of the Flourish programme and are an invaluable pathway to helping people forge a career within the legal profession, be that through

legal and non-legal opportunities. We have two legal apprenticeship programmes running, one with the University of Central Lancashire for solicitors and one with CILEX focused on paralegals.

In addition, we now provide a business administration apprenticeship, demonstrating our dedication to investing in talent for future growth.

Apprenticeships provide a flexible and viable career pathway for young people interested in a career as a solicitor and help open doors and increase social mobility in the legal profession, particularly for people who might not ordinarily have thought it could be for them.

Our trainee programme has always been an essential part of who we are. As a firm, we are passionate about access to law and supporting great minds to fulfil their potential in law.

Once apprentices become solicitors their support and learning continues, as they join Launchpad a modular development programme focused on them transitioning into life as a qualified solicitor.

For anyone wishing to find out further information on apprenticeships, other qualifications or pathways to work in the legal profession, please contact our head of learning and development Simon Price simon.price@napthens.co.uk
