Lancaster digital agency Hotfoot has been appointed by Wikimedia UK to design and develop its new website. Wikimedia UK is a national charity that supports and grows the country’s contribution to free knowledge through projects including Wikipedia, and forms part of the global Wikimedia movement.

Lancaster based Like Technologies has donated £5,000 to CancerCare following a year of fundraising by staff. Activities included a charity quiz night at the Mazuma Stadium, bake sales and festive events, while operations manager Andy Davy raised £1,878 by running the London Marathon. After staff fundraising generated more than £4,475, the business made an additional contribution to bring the total to £5,000.
Brand and digital consultancy EXP, based in Lancaster, has been featured at OFFF, a major design festival in Barcelona. Taking place over three days at Disseny Hub, the festival invited submissions to form part of The Screen, a giant projection-mapped art installation on the side of the design museum, curated by Frameboy in collaboration with Barco.
Oswaldtwistle Mills has received a £178,000 grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to save and reopen its Heritage Centre. The successful bid will preserve the story of Moscow Mill and its weaving community, while securing its future for generations to come.
