Entries are now open for the return of Lancashire Business View’s Sub36 Awards, celebrating the county’s brightest young business talent, with a deadline of July 24.

The awards, which return for the first time since 2020, recognise the ambition, innovation and leadership of people aged under 36 from businesses across Lancashire. Winners will be announced at Park Hall Hotel and Spa on October 16.

More than an awards programme, Sub36 brings together emerging leaders through networking events, magazine features, speaking panels and profile-raising opportunities, helping create a community of the county’s future business leaders.

Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View, which stages the awards, said: “We’re really excited to bring back the Sub36 Awards this year.

“These awards shine a spotlight on the drive, innovation and leadership potential that is shaping the future of our economy.

“When we look back at our previous winners it is inspiring to see how many of them have gone on to become successful and influential in their fields.”

Richard added that it is important for businesses to recognise and celebrate emerging talent. “By putting forward rising stars, businesses are helping to build confidence, inspire ambition and ensure Lancashire continues to thrive with strong, forward-thinking leadership for years to come.”

Farah Cheema, who co-ordinates the Sub36 campaign, said: “One of the best things about being involved with Sub36 is meeting ambitious young professionals from across Lancashire and seeing first- hand the talent we have in our county.

“The Sub36 Awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise those achievements, celebrate success and inspire the next generation of business talent. I’m delighted to see them return this year.”

Entries close on July 24, with finalists announced and tickets going on sale on August 3. Judging takes place on September 2 before the winners are revealed at the awards on October 16.
