Burnley-based BCW Group has acquired aluminium die-casting business Lupton & Place Burnley for an undisclosed sum.
FOX GROUP COMPLETES DOUBLE ACQUISITION
Fox Group has expanded its portfolio with the acquisitions of Lancashire-based Moore Readymix and Carlisle civil engineering business DSD Construction.
The value of the deals was not disclosed, but the enlarged group now has annual turnover of more than £175m and employs around 850 people.
The acquisitions are the fourth since private equity firm Stellex Capital Management invested in the construction materials and haulage specialist. Blackpool headquartered Fox acquired J Fisher and Sons in June 2025 and NMS Civil Engineering in September 2025.

Moore Readymix was founded by Roy Moore and has operated for more than 20 years from batching plants at Walton Summit, Preston, and St Annes, Blackpool.

The deal brings one of Europe’s longest- established aluminium die-casting specialists into BCW Group, strengthening the engineering group’s end-to-end manufacturing capabilities.
BCW Group provides integrated manufacturing services spanning design, precision machining, fabrication, surface treatments and assembly for customers in the aerospace, automotive, defence and off-highway sectors.
Founded in 1894 by Robert Henry Place and Arthur Lupton, Lupton & Place has more than 130 years’ expertise in gravity and high-pressure aluminium die casting, supported by machining, finishing and value-added services.
The business employs around 120 people and generates annual turnover of approximately £12m.
