Who we are Darwen’s planned manufacturing centre
Together Housing Group owns and manages around 8,500 properties in Blackburn with Darwen, part of our wider 39,000 property portfolio. We employ 1,500 people, many from our Wharf Street office. Our teams provide financial and welfare support to 15,000 Blackburn residents, while our independent charity, Newground Together, provides employability advice, youth provision and other community services throughout Blackburn with Darwen, including from a hub in The Mall.
What we’ve achieved
Together Housing has a programme of community investment, including specific work in Shadsworth and Whitebirk. This will include a facelift to many of our existing properties, new homes built using the latest offsite technology, provision for young people and the development of new parks. We’re also investing in community support provision and new developments across the town and increasing the energy efficiency of all of our older properties.
Why we love Blackburn and Darwen
Together Housing Group and its predecessors are part of the fabric of Blackburn and Darwen and many of our staff and residents are based in the town. As an empowered, diverse and well connected town, it’s the ideal base for showcasing the aspirational, safe and diverse communities that drive our vision.
